As the Sales Manager for the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia, you will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding market share within the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors. Leveraging your engineering background and extensive sales experience, you will develop and implement strategic initiatives to identify and capitalise on business opportunities, strengthen customer relationships, and achieve revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to penetrate the chemical and pharmaceutical markets in the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia.
- Identify key accounts, cultivate new business opportunities, and establish long-term partnerships with customers.
- Lead the sales team in the region, providing guidance, support, and motivation to achieve sales objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing, and customer service to deliver comprehensive solutions that meet customer needs.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to drive continuous improvement and maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
- Candidates must be based in the UK.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in technical sales, with a proven track record of success in selling to customers in the chemical/pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated experience selling engineered products and systems, preferably within the fluid handling sector.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand customer requirements, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Willingness to travel frequently within the UK, Ireland, and Scandinavia regions.
