Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity is available to join one of the UK's leading foodservice providers as Business Development Manager. You will be part of a wider sales team covering Wiltshire, Hampshire, Somerset and Dorset.
Title: Business Development Manager
Basic Salary: Circa £42,000 (depending on experience) plus bonus and benefits
As the Business Development Manager your main responsibilities are:
- Work with existing clients by region creating opportunities to increase and develop profitable business growth
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in order to increase market share and size of the market within the region.
- Manage the relationship with the customer and ensure all queries and issues are dealt with in order to retain the customer's long-term loyalty.
Requirements pf the Business Development Manager:
- Driven, positive, self-motivated, ambitious individual
- Strong organisational and account management skills
- Preferred experience in a field sales role
- Experience of food and/or product sales (either foodservice, retail, supply side)
- Excellent understanding of foodservice/hospitality/catering industry, external market and a broad commercial understanding
- Excellent customer knowledge and contacts in order to deliver new opportunities
- Skill and experience at building strong relationships with customers
- Exceptional selling and influencing skills
- Strong communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Current driving licence and ability to work across the region as required for customer base
