Working as part of a small team you will provide comprehensive secretarial support to the fee earners to maximise their availability for legal work.

Your main duties & responsibilities will include:

  • Provide full secretarial support to the Residential Conveyancing Team
  • Provide timely and accurate completion of varied documentation and correspondence as allocated by the Support Manager in accordance with the fee earner instructions and appropriate department styles
  • Manage any external and internal calls in a professional and polite manner
  • Provide accurate noting and delivery of messages written and oral to the appropriate person
  • Assisting fee earners with administration as required such as form filling
  • Liaise with Support Manager to help plan allocation of work
  • Effective use of the firm’s IT systems to maximise efficiency
  • Support the firm in its intention to continually grow and develop the practice in all areas
  • Strive to provide excellence of service to all clients
  • Take a pro-active approach to the work carried out for clients
  • Be alert to any problems being experienced by clients and react positively to these
  • Take responsibility for noticing client care problems and for solving these
  • Work towards clear objectives that support fee earners in the twin aims of generating and delivering client work
  • Take part constructively in the performance review process and undertake agreed training and development activities


To be considered for this opportunity, we are looking for the following background and/or experience:

  • Previous experience as a Legal Assistant or Secretary working within a busy Residential Conveyancing Department
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with audio and copy typing
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to work to dedicated timescales and deadlines
  • Confidence dealing with clients and colleagues of all levels
  • Strong technical capability
  • Committed to providing a first-class service at all times
  • Natural positive and proactive attitude


Reward

  • Starting salary will depend upon experience, and our client is open to discussing this
  • Full Time, Permanent position working Monday to Friday 9-5pm
