HR Apprentice

We’re looking for an HR Apprentice to join our People Team at DCS Group If you're passionate about creating a great employee experience and excited about simplifying and continuously improving HR processes, this role offers a fantastic learning opportunity. You’ll work closely with our HR Manager and play an essential role in onboarding, employee support, benefits administration, and more, all while getting hands-on experience across key HR functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Starters: Draft contracts and offer letters, manage onboarding processes, conduct Right to Work checks, and ensure accurate data entry into SAGE and Tensor systems.
- Employee Movement: Support internal moves by coordinating approval processes and issuing updated contracts, ensuring systems remain accurate.
- Leavers: Manage leaver processes, conduct exit interviews, coordinate checklist completion, and handle DCS equipment returns.
- General HR Support: Serve as the main contact for HR queries, coordinate probation and annual review processes, cover Payroll during absence periods, and maintain up-to-date employee records.
- Benefits & Administration: Administer benefits schemes, support external audits, maintain My SAGE People portal and Employee Handbook, and ensure all training and job descriptions are accurate for audit purposes.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
- Essential: GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
- Desirable Skills: A proactive mindset for challenging and improving processes, adaptability to learn new systems, and a strong interest in advancing HR and payroll skills.
