Area Sales Person - North West Region

Forklift and Materials Handling Equipment


Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Area Sales Person to cover the North West region, specializing in the sale of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales within the industrial equipment sector.


Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers in the North West region

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand our customer base

- Conduct site visits to assess customer needs and recommend appropriate equipment solutions

- Prepare and present detailed quotations and proposals

- Negotiate contracts and close sales deals

- Achieve and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets

- Collaborate with the service team to ensure customer satisfaction post-sale

- Stay informed about competitor activities and market trends

- Attend industry trade shows and networking events

- Maintain accurate sales records and provide regular reports to management


Requirements

- Minimum 3 years of successful sales experience in forklift trucks or materials handling equipment (or simialr)

- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets (solution selling)

- In-depth knowledge of the materials handling industry and equipment

- Strong network of contacts within the North West region

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills

- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within the region

- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
