About the job


Reporting directly to the Technical Sales Director GB, this is a full-time permanent hybrid role (predominantly remote) where you will have full sales responsibility for all technical sales for Water BU products in GB, specifically Pumps, CTP and Separators in your area. As part of a National Team you will be required to support other areas as appropriate. The successful candidate will be required to work closely with our trade sales teams internally and externally, with the aim of continuing the development of the brand and our sales channels.


The role will also require the development of our relationship with key decision makers and influencers, along with architects / consultant engineers. Additionally, the ideal candidate

needs to help develop sales channels that deliver improved margin.


This role is a senior role within the Business Unit, and you will need to be able to report at a

high level and assist in the strategic decisions though effective management.

Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver on sales targets/budgets for Pumps, CTP and Separators
  • Proactively target engineers, architects with education around these markets and deliver professional CPDs
  • Conducts site visits and/or support ASMs to provide customers with clear specifications
  • Working closely with the Sales Teams, assist in our CRM development to track key projects.
  • Prepare and present performance reports and presentations.
  • Target major influencers and decision makers, specifically, National Trust, BHHPA, Water Authorities, Regional House Builders, Regional and National Contractors
  • Identify product development to increase specification conversion, for example telemetry.
  • Attend any working groups / authorities around Wastewater & Surface Water ensuring we are influencing the market and are market leaders in terms of our knowledge.
  • Identify new routes to market and/or product development through existing channels related to our product ranges.
  • Work with Engineering/Innovation team to develop products with features that ensure and protect specifications.
  • Develop and understanding of all Wastewater Surface Water regulations (e.g., BW Flows & Loads, Design and Construction Guidance, Ciria C753)


Candidate requirements


  • You will have excellent customer facing skills and be happy in a role that will require travel to client sites as and when required.
  • Working hours will be varied as you will be required to leave early and be expected to stay away to suit business needs. From time-to-time weekend work will also be required.
  • The ability to build relationships with clients quickly
  • You must be adaptable due to the reactive nature of the business.
  • Previous experience in technical sales
  • Previous industry experience
  • Excellent people management skills at a senior level
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • A full UK driving licence


Desirable


  • Previous experience working within the water and/or civils environment
  • SuDS knowledge
