Our client are a rapidly growing company who specialise in assisting their customers with fitting new laboratories as well as expanding and refurbishing existing laboratory environments. The company work with a variety of customer within the pharmaceutical, academia and industrial markets. They provide products such as fume cupboards and safety cabinets as well as services such as design and maintenance. They are now looking to recruit a Sales Manager to join their team.
Responsibilities will include working closely with new and existing clients, both face to face and remotely in order to promote sales for the business. You will travel to client sites for sales meetings as well as look to undertake site surveys in order to cater to specific client requirements. You will look to develop sales and marketing strategies. Furthermore, you will work cross functionally with head office to produce quotes and estimations and you may need to attend the office in Bolton once a month for sales meetings. You will also manage junior members of the sales team.
To be considered for the role you will ideally hold a scientific degree such as Biomedical Science, Biochemistry or Chemistry. You should also come from a sales background and have experience of selling in to Pharma, Biotech, Academia or Industrial customers. Ideally, you will have experience of selling laboratory products such as furniture, fume cupboards and safety cabinets. Experience of selling laboratory services would also be beneficial. You should be a good communicator, possess strong self-initiative and be highly motivated and organised. You should also be able and happy to travel within the UK as well as attend the office in Bolton around once a month. Ideally you will be based close enough to the office to make this feasible.
