One of the UK’s most inspiring and best-known faith-based organisations, The Salvation Army, is looking for a highly credible Assistant Head of Philanthropy – Major Donors to strengthen the scale and value of our major donor pipeline, deliver excellent personalised stewardship and increase the number of people making donations to The Salvation Army.


As Assistant Head of Philanthropy – Major Donors, you will be crucial to ensuring an income stream sufficient to resource the future mission of The Salvation Army. In addition, you will play a critical role in delivering our major donor programme, inspiring individuals to make transformational donations to support our work across the UK. You will also form part of the senior leadership team within the wider Philanthropy department.


To be successful in this role you will have;

  • substantial experience of running a major donor programme within a complex organisation
  • an outstanding track record of delivery
  • the ability to influence at a senior level and inspire and motivate colleagues.
