Main duties of the jobThe Procurement and Estates Co-Ordinator is responsible for the leadership and management of supply tendering processes, ensuring that Akari Care obtains value for money and high-quality services/supplies. This includes end-to-end management of such processes, from defining requirements to sourcing, tender analysis, negotiation, and implementation. The role also involves continuous search for optimum supply relationships to mitigate supply chain risk, performance management of key suppliers, and management of procurement projects between suppliers and the care homes. Additionally, the Co-Ordinator manages the estates helpdesk function, oversees the planned preventive maintenance (PPM) spend, maintains the contractor portfolio, and coordinates the review and action on estates risk assessments and regulatory PPM requirements.
