Job DescriptionBehaviour Mentor - Year 5 Location: Rednal, B45 Weekly Rate: £460 - £500 Start Date: 05.01.2026 Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only) Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm Contract: Long Term to Permanent Do you excel at de-escalation and behaviour intervention, especially with pupils who need consistency, structure and patience? Long Term Futures are looking for a confident and resilient Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 5 cohort with a high level of SEND-related behaviour needs, including ASD, ADHD and ODD. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in de-escalation, emotional regulation and behaviour intervention to make a long-term impact within a welcoming primary school. The Role You will work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and pastoral team to:Support pupils with ASD, ADHD and ODD using tailored behaviour strategiesImplement de-escalation techniques and emotional regulation toolsDeliver 1:1 and small-group interventions to improve focus, engagement and self-managementReinforce clear boundaries, routines and expectationsModel calm, consistent behaviour and support pupils during dysregulationWork proactively to reduce incidents and improve learning outcomes across the cohort What We're Looking ForExperience supporting children with SEND-related behaviourConfident managing challenging behaviour in a calm, structured wayStrong understanding of ASD, ADHD and ODDSkilled in building positive, trusting relationshipsAble to implement behaviour plans and follow school policiesReliable, patient and committed to long-term impact About the school:Located in Rednal, B45.Ofsted rated Good.Two-form entry primary school.Modern School Building Warm and inclusive ethos with supportive staff.Forest School facilities.On-site parking available Why Work With Long Term Futures?Long-term placements with the opportunity to secure permanent rolesOngoing support from a dedicated consultantFree trial days availableAccess to training and CPD How to apply: This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in a child's educational journey and join a school committed to learning.
