This is a rare opportunity to build and scale a global payroll and contractor management platform from the ground up — with access to world-class engineering, design, and operational expertise.We're looking for a self-starting, customer-obsessed VP of Product to own the product vision and lead HireGlobal's end-to-end product strategy. This leader will shape the roadmap, scale the Product team, and partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, Sales, and the General Manager to deliver a platform that is efficient, compliant, automated, and delightful for clients and workers worldwide.You will set the direction, drive alignment across teams, and guide the development of both our external product and internal operational tech stack.This is a remote position. It is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or required skills.Product Leadership & StrategyOwn the vision, strategy, and roadmap for HireGlobal across global payments, onboarding, billing, and worker experiences.Translate company goals into product objectives that drive growth, automation, and world-class user experience.Build the product foundation needed to scale: operating rhythms, frameworks, prioritization systems, and strong cross-functional alignment.Execution, Roadmap Management & DeliveryLead prioritization across teams, ensuring high-impact initiatives are clearly scoped and aligned with business goals.Track progress, remove obstacles, assess risks, and proactively communicate trade-offs and mitigation plans.Work closely with the engineering team to increase product velocity, stability, and technical quality.Establish a repeatable, data-driven product delivery model that supports rapid iteration and continuous improvement.Team Building & People LeadershipEnable the team of Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to do the best work of their careers.Foster a culture of ownership, clarity, high standards, and customer-centric thinking.Coach and mentor team members, provide feedback, conduct performance reviews, and implement performance improvement plans, if needed.Establish objectives and initiatives for the team, recommend the team's structure and jobs, and organize, assign, delegate, oversee, and monitor work.Cross-Functional CollaborationPartner deeply with Operations, Compliance/Legal, Finance, Support, Sales, and Engineering to ensure product decisions reflect stakeholder input and regulatory requirements.Establish credibility and trusted relationships across teams, balancing business needs with technical and compliance constraints.Communicate strategy, decisions, and context clearly across the company.Hands-On Product Work (expected even at the VP-level)Roll up your sleeves to write or refine user stories, problem statements, acceptance criteria, or PRDs.Break down ambiguous, complex product areas into clear, actionable plans.Apply system-analyst techniques to uncover functional requirements and workflow optimizations.Qualifications and Job Requirements:Bachelor's degree required; technical degree preferred.10+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 5+ years in B2B platforms3+ years of experience leading Product Managers or managing cross-functional product groupsProven track record of owning and scaling complex B2B SaaS products — ideally in fintech, payments, HR tech, or payroll.Experience working with third-party system integrations (payment processors, KYC vendors, banking APIs, etc.).Comfortable working with SQL or spreadsheets to analyze data, as well as conducting research with internal and external users.Deep experience using data, research, and experimentation to guide decisions.Ability to collaborate with Design to review wireframes, simplify flows, and create intuitive user experiences.Extremely high bar for clarity, quality, and detail in product specs.Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company and handle a wide variety of challenges, deadlines, and a diverse array of contacts.Be humble, willing to learn, and do whatever is needed to help us accomplish our goals.Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.You must be a world-class individual contributor to thrive at Toptal.
