Payments/ Cash Collection Team Leader // Manchester // £26000 // Office based
We have an exciting opportunity for a Payments Team Leader to join a rapidly growing business that provides innovative Information Management tech to a large customer base of SMEs and large companies.
This is an exciting time to join this award winning company as the team expands along with the turnover year on year.
This role is fully office based in Manchester city centre., leading a team of two, to ensure effective payment collection for the business.
**Duties**:

- Daily motivation and supervision of the small payment team to meet or exceed short term performance goals.
- Complete own daily schedule of calls to the client base in support of the collection targets.
- Communicate clear objectives for the team and for individuals, setting KPIs and SLAs and being accountable for the team meeting these targets
- Monitor and report on team performance against target
- Report activity statistics
- Work with colleagues to identify training requirements within the team and agree coaching schedules
- Complete regular call monitoring and feedback
- Deal with escalated queries and issues
- Ensure a customer focused approach
- Generate and share reports on debtors on a weekly basis
- Take responsibility for higher value/corporate clients and all contact points in relation to overdue accounts and payment arrangements
- Liaise with internal stakeholders on account queries

Experience required:

- Strong collections experience
- Experience of managing a small team
- Experience of dealing with escalations and complex queries
- The desire to remain hands on' with own client accounts
- Able to work effectively with other colleagues across the business to aid payment management
- Previous experience of setting and monitoring KPIs and taking ownership for own performance as well as ensuring the team are motivated and well equipped to achieve their KPIs
