Water Recycling Operator

Do you have excellent decision making, reporting and communication skills? If so, our Southern Water Recycling team is looking for a reliable team member to cover the Poole area.
**The role**
Wessex Water is one of the top performing water and sewerage companies in the UK, serving 2.8 million customers across the South West of England. As a Water Recycling Operator, you will manage the operation and maintenance of conventional sewage treatment plants and pumping stations to meet quality standards.
Duties will include running advanced wastewater treatment and sludge process plants as well as playing a big part in the team by ensuring compliance with policies, processes and procedures. We are a safety-first employer therefore you will hold the health, safety and welfare of all colleagues, the public and yourself with the upmost of importance at all times.
Additionally, you will need to be flexible with working hours that include weekends as you will be required to provide emergency cover on the standby rota, with a view to participate in a shift pattern when applicable (an average of 40 hours per week).
**What do I need?**
To be successful within the role you will be happy working outside in all conditions and have previous experience working unsupervised in an industrial or process plant. If you have electrical or mechanical experience this would be desirable but is not essential.
Due to the nature of this role holding a valid driving licence is essential. Confined spaces training will be provided.
