**Distribution Centre Operative**

**About us**:

**Purpose**:
Handling of goods from receipt to dispatch in a time sensitive and orderly manner ensuring the integrity of our products at all times.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure timely and accurate receipt of all items into the Distribution Centre reporting discrepancies as required
- Process all items correctly and escalate problems to the Distribution Centre Shift Team Leader or Distribution Operations Manager as appropriate
- Maintain stock integrity through appropriate manual or automated methods
- Support shift team colleagues with training on current operational methods as required
- Complete timely and accurate picking and replenishment of all stock lines as required
- Maintain productivity in line with current operational needs
- Achieve and maintain all company Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) as notified by the Distribution Centre Shift Team Leader or Distribution Operations Manager as appropriate
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the Distribution Centre and surrounding area
- Ensure all paperwork is completed, checked, and passed to relevant departments in a timely manner for action
- Adhere to all statutory and company Health & Safety requirements, effectively communicating any concerns as appropriate and ensuring safe systems of work are always observed
- Ensure that Mechanical Handling Equipment is inspected as per company procedure and defects are reported immediately
- Any other duties as per the needs of the business

**Secondary Responsibilities**
- To assist in other departments as required
- Complete stock checks as requested
- Maintain open lines of communication as appropriate
- Comply with the company Environmental Policy

**Skills and Experience**
- Experience of working in “next day” distribution / warehousing operations
- **Counterbalance Forklift license essential**:

- Target driven with the motivation to succeed
- Pick a Pack experience desired
- Good communicator through all mediums
- Can do attitude
- Familiar with use of Computer Software
- Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Flexibility
- Team player

**Working Hours**:
**We will be operating a swing shift pattern from 6:00am to 3:00pm and then 3:00pm to 12:00am on a week on, week off basis.**

**Salary**: £24,752.00 per year
