**Role Purpose**:
Somerset Sight is the Somerset charity providing practical, social, and emotional support to more than 3000 people and their families in the county with sight loss. A range of services enable people with sight loss to adapt, remain independent and live a full and active life. The Charity is fast growing and now also has a recently awarded significant contract. Somerset Sight celebrated 100 years anniversary in 2019 and was recently honoured with the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of the impact made in the local community.

We wish to welcome to our team, an exceptional and experienced Office Coordinator, who will play a key role in our organisation. The role is to work closely with the CEO and the small team of experienced staff based in our headquarters to ensure the smooth running of the organisation, and offers variety and contact with professionals, volunteers, and service users.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Act as an administrative support to the CEO and other team members.

Conduct office organisational and administrative tasks, maintaining accurate information in the CRM system (data entry), running reports, organising appointments and open days, maintaining, and looking after office facilities, and sending accurate information to our service users and professionals. You will keep policies updated, including Health and Safety. Arrange training for new volunteers, ensure required documentation is completed, take on some HR duties including arrange staff training and regular staff meetings and take accurate minutes.

Create compelling copy, invites etc. to attract, and recruit new volunteers to support the organisation and act as first point of call for in house volunteers. Manage diary for external talks. Manage bookings for socials and events and take payments, ensuring they are logged accurately.

Occasionally visit off-site locations (locally), therefore a driving licence and own transport is required.

You will be a professional and experienced office administrator, empathetic in your approach, display excellent interpersonal skills, with a can-do attitude, the ability to multitask and show initiative. You will deliver exceptional customer service and support other staff members and gain satisfaction from a job well done. You will be IT literate and have previously worked with CRM systems & Microsoft Office packages. You’ll understand the requirements of GDPR, Data Privacy and confidentiality. Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships. You will have passion and enthusiasm, be a team player, and equally be able to work independently.

**Desirables: D**etailed knowledge of IT, HR administration skills, or executive assistant experience.
