Have you got experience supporting individuals with special needs?
We are currently looking for a passionate classroom support assistant for a special educational needs school located in Rugeley. This school caters for students from the age of four to eighteen who have autism and social, emotional and mental health difficulties.Due to the needs of the children, we are looking for someone that has previously worked with special educational needs and is confident in their behaviour management.
You will be working with students on a one-to-one basis as well as working with small groups. The school is structured on a Japanese style of learning which incorporates lots of walking and exercise into their day. Each classroom does not exceed eight studentsand maintains a high level of staff. It is important to this school that every student always has outstanding support and receives a personalised learning experience. This is a full-time position that will begin as soon as possible and be ongoing until theend of the academic year.
**The role**:
- You must have previous experience of working with students with autism or SEMH.
- This is a vibrant school that provides fantastic facilities for its students and staff.
- This school caters for a variety of ages, so you may be required to work with both primary and secondary aged students.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
