Marketing Coordinator

*This role has previously been done on a full-time basis, but the hours worked are negotiable, depending on experience. *

Apex Self Storage is Manchester’s longest established independent self storage company, and we provide storage solutions for 1000’s of customers across the North West - from house moves to small business startups, we have a diverse range of customers. We are hiring immediately for a Marketing Coordinator, a fantastic opportunity to make your mark on a growing company in a strong and emerging market.

**About the role**

**General Responsibilities**
- Manage and develop the marketing plan for the company.
- Create multi-platform content for new and existing customers.
- Collaborate with creative agencies to craft digital campaigns.
- Help to maintain and develop the company website.
- Maintain the company’s social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and other relevant platforms.
- Identify new marketing opportunities, conducting research and providing business cases for such activities.
- Lead the production of creative designs and printed materials, ensuring they align with our brand guidelines.
- Produce monthly reports around marketing activity and lead capture, obtaining data from our in-house software and Google Analytics, inputting it into spreadsheets/reports and extracting insights.
- Undertake desk research, for example researching local marketing tactics, channels, community events and competitor activity.
- Update budget trackers.
- Liaise with third party suppliers/agencies.
- Ad hoc project management and administration tasks - Perform miscellaneous job-related duties and special marketing projects as assigned.

**Person Specification**
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Marketing role.
- Possess a strong understanding of the customer journey, and can use your initiative to discover new ways to improve the user experience.
- Personable and a strong communicator with great verbal communication skills to be representative of Apex Self Storage with a sense of fun professionalism.
- Creative, with the ability to produce engaging social media content, taking into consideration our brand identity & tone of voice.
- Practical experience of using data insights to provide suggestions for improvement.
- Knowledge of and interest in traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing.
- Strong IT skills, proficient in the use of Microsoft suite (including Excel, Outlook & Word), some experience of updating a WordPress site is desirable.
- A passion for branding and graphic design with some experience of software such as Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Express.
- A keen eye for detail with the ability to successfully proofread communication material, for both print and digital purposes.
- Some experience in small scale events.
- Possess a high level of organisational skills, proactive and time-oriented with a positive can-do attitude.
- A driving licence and vehicle is desirable as the appointed person will need to visit our 8 branches from time to time (based in: Ardwick, Cheadle, Congleton, Glossop, Hulme, Radcliffe, Sport City & Warrington).
