London, United Kingdom Greater London Authority Full time

**Are you passionate about making a difference and want to play **an important role in the transformation of the Greater London Authority’s (GLA) People Function and supporting the GLA through change?**

**Are you an experienced HR professional and enjoy bringing people together and developing relationships to deliver a high-quality service?**

If so, we want to hear from you.

Shakira Keddo, the newly appointed Assistant Director of People, is looking to **fill **a number of** critical roles**,** to help accelerate the work to transform the newly developed People Function into a truly strategic, modern, and expert one. You would have a part to play in helping to develop and deliver the new People Strategy, which will support the organisation to deliver its strategic objectives. Please **read about each team within the new People Function Unit**

The GLA is embarking on its own programme of transformation, whilst settling into new hybrid ways of working at the new City Hall in the Royal Docks and continues to serve the needs of the Mayor and the London Assembly in this unusually short administrative term. Now more than ever is the need for a professional and skilled People Function to support them in this, and help build a diverse and inclusive workforce, one that is representative of the population it serves.

This is one of the most exciting times to join the team. The demands on our team to create appropriate services that meet the needs of both the organisation, and our workforce, have probably never been greater. You will require creativity, commitment, and imagination and to embrace the scrutiny of our work.

In return, you will have a high-profile and visible platform to build on your experience in people management. You will also make a full contribution to work across the wider GLA family in your work individually, and collectively to deliver leading edge People practice.

We will offer you a supportive environment, and together, we will drive the changes required to realise the GLA’s ambitions for the people, communities, visitors, learners, and businesses of London, and to be an employer of choice for our current and prospective workforce. **Please watch our video to find out more about working at the GLA.**

Please ensure your supporting statement clearly demonstrates how you meet the essential person specification criteria listed below:
- PROBLEM SOLVING - Analysing and interpreting situations from a variety of viewpoints and finding creative, workable, and timely solutions.- COMMUNICATING AND INFLUENCING - Presenting information and arguments clearly and convincingly so that others see us as credible and articulate and engage with us.

This role will be based at City Hall, in the Royal Docks (Kamal Chunchie Way, London, E16 1ZE). GLA staff are hybrid working up to 3 days a week in our offices and remotely depending on their role. As part of this, you will need to split your time between home working and coming into the office.
