We are currently recruiting for a Wellbeing Recovery Worker to work in our assessment team. The Assessor at a drug and alcohol service is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their needs and appropriate level of care.
This role involves evaluating clients' substance use, mental health status, and social circumstances to develop individualized treatment plans. You would be working with multiple Service Users for short bursts, completing assessments before they were allocated to a Wellbeing Worker for ongoing care.
As a Wellbeing Recovery Worker we offer a starting salary of £27,377 + £3,633 IWL rising each year in line with our pay progression salary bands, rising to £32,026 + £3,633 ILW per year. (Dependent on experience you may be offered a starting salary above the initial starting salary).

**Role Responsibility**:
This will be an office-based role with potential outreach to community settings. You will have regular interaction with clients who may be experiencing distress or crisis and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare and social service professionals will be required.
The main duties of the role will be to:
1. Conduct Initial Assessments:
- Perform detailed assessments of clients' substance use, mental health, and social situations.
- Complete paperwork to a high standard of accuracy.
- Utilize standardized assessment tools to gather relevant information.
- Identify clients' strengths, needs, and risk factors.
2. Develop Treatment Plans:
- Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
- Set realistic and achievable goals for recovery.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary team including clinicians & our Get Connected Social Prescribing interventions.
3. Provide Interventions:
- Brief Interventions: Engage clients in discussions about their substance use and motivate them to consider treatment.
- Motivational Interviewing: Use techniques to enhance clients' motivation to change their behaviour.
- Psychoeducation: Provide information about the effects of substance use and the benefits of treatment.
- Crisis Intervention: Address any immediate risks or crises, such as suicidal ideation or severe withdrawal symptoms.
- Referral to Services: Connect clients with appropriate treatment programs, support groups, and other resources.
