As a Health Care Assistant you will be able to make a real difference in the lives of our service users supporting our nursing and medical team. You will deliver interventions alongside, and under the supervision of, our nursing team to improve the health and wellbeing of our service users. Passionate about people, you’ll enjoy support to enhance your own life too, as you make the role your own in a friendly and multidisciplinary team.

**Role Responsibility**:
The Health Care Assistant will work with our service users alongside colleagues to reduce the harms associated with alcohol and drug use. Examples of the interventions you will be supported to deliver include assessing people’s general health and identifying any concerns or needs, providing harm reduction advice and information, supporting our needle exchange delivery, undertaking tests for blood borne viruses and drug use, supporting our clients to monitor and take greater responsibility for their own health, supporting clients (alongside our nursing and recovery workers) as they undergo detoxification in the community. The role is varied and different every day, as we respond flexibly to the needs of our clients.
