Telecoms Fibre Technician

A leading utility contractor have been awarded a significant telecoms framework with some of the UK's largest broadband providers in the UK to install to premises across the South East.
The contractor are helping to build and maintain broadband networks, including the rollout of cutting-edge full fibre broadband to 20 million homes and businesses across London and the South East.
As such they are looking to recruit Telecoms Technicians to join their teams in London and the Home Counties.

The Role
Working closely with a Team Leader the Telecoms Technicians will assist in supporting, configuring and monitoring the system for the fibre network
Support and liaise with other departments and customers, to fault-find problems or provide solutions to requests as they arise.

Experience Required
Have an aptitude for learning new skills
Are self-motivated and have a flexible approach to work
Have good interpersonal skills or experience working in customer service
Have a full clean UK manual driving license for a minimum of 12 months
There is no requirement of previous technical experience.

What you need
It’s essential that you have a full and valid driver’s license, and you enjoy using your logic and initiative when taking on practical tasks.
Experience of working in a similar role or an outdoor, safety-critical environment will give you a good insight into what’s needed.
