An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Customer Service Assistant to join Clarke Decorate based in Armagh City. For over 50 years we have been premier suppliers of Paints, Fabrics, Bedding & Wallcoverings across the City & we now require an experienced Customer Service Assistant to join our team to assist instore but also provide support to our online customer base.

This is a permanent position, full time position working 37.5 hours per week & will include Saturdays.

The role will include:

- Assisting customers face to face, providing information on products when required
- Assisting customers online
- Answering customer calls
- Taking orders by phone and in store.
- Process till transactions securely, quickly and accurately.
- Replenish stock levels when needed, making sure the full-size range is on the shop floor where possible.
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Making up orders ready to despatch
- Ability to engage and inspire customers through questioning and listening skills, a creative flair or interest in the latest trends is perfect
Required Skills/ Personal Qualities
- 1 year’s previous customer service/retail experience minimum
- GCSE English & Mathematics or equivalent, Grade C & above
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages including Word, Excel & Outlook
- Ability to prioritise and organise workloads
- A flexible approach in order to cover a variety of tasks
- Confident oral/written communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work individually, or as part of a team
- Excellent timekeeping and attendance
