**Forecast & Inventory Planner**
We are an Italian, family-run business, which manufactures specialist Italian cheese, meats and fresh pasta. We are leading importers and distributors of Italian foods, wines and provisions. We are a well-established business, which delivers our products nationwide who are known throughout the wholesale, catering and restaurateur trade.
We are now looking for a Forecast & Inventory Planner to join our team, and work underneath the National Stock Operations Manager. The role in London based but you will work directly with our national teams. You will need to have had experience in a similar role, ideally within a food-related setting and have a strong IT and analytical mindset. While the role is primarily office-based we are looking for someone equally comfortable and hands-on within a warehouse setting.
We are based in N7 London, which is close to Caledonian Road and also Kings Cross stations. We have a car park on-site.
**What you will be doing**
- Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
- Optimise sales through product availability, and reduce waste through accurate forecasting and stock planning principles
- Assist in the development of demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and meet customer service goals.
- Drive forward improvements in department processes.
- Provide long and short-term reports to identify low stocks and out of stocks
- Build & maintain collaborative relationships and effective communication with the Buying, Retail Operations, Transport and Depot teams to collectively deliver the best customer experience and availability.
- Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records, investigating and resolving any discrepancies identified. Monitor stock levels regularly.
- Input data
- Assist in staying ahead of seasonal considerations to optimise planning efforts.
**Who we are looking for**
- Experience in inventory management within the FMCG industry
- Self-starting, proactive individual who can perform stand-alone activities as well as work in a collaborative team effectively
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Highly analytical and numerate with strong attention to detail and with ability to use data and personal impact to influence.
- Excellent communication skills with the confidence to present to internal and external senior stakeholders
- An individual who can work cross-functionally to deliver results with strong business acumen.
**Pay & Hours**
- 40 Hour contract
- Monday - Friday.
- 8.45am - 5.30pm
- £30k - £32k (& willing to discuss salary in line with previous experience)
- 28 holidays
