Skills & Competencies:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with inventory software
- Ability to work effectively in a chilled/factory environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Physically fit and able to lift/move products safely as required.

Job Purpose
The Assistant Inventory Controller will support the effective management of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods inventories. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate stock levels, minimising waste, and maintaining seamless production flow in a fast-paced, perishable goods environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in monitoring inventory levels of raw materials and packaging supplies.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Record and update inventory transactions in ERP or inventory management systems.
- Support stock checks and generate reports for management.
- Liaise with production, purchasing, and quality control teams to ensure inventory accuracy and availability.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and report issues to the Inventory Controller.
- Monitor expiry dates and help manage FIFO (First-In, First-Out) rotation to minimize waste.
- Participate in inventory audits and assist with periodic and ad hoc stock counts
- Conduct regular delivery note and pick list audits
- Manage the inventory process for Ireland - receipting POs, preparing transfer orders
- Reconcile external warehouse stocks
- Carry out month end processes - stock adjustment
- Process ingredient consumption journals

Monday to Friday, full time
