**Hours: 7.30am - 3.30pm (however does have option of 10.30am-7pm)**

**Location: Newport, NP10 8XG**

Our client are currently recruiting for a Handy Person (Fabric Biased) to join their maintenance team in Newport.

Our client work in a government building and their contracts are across three sites, Newport, Titchfield and Christchurch.

You would be part of the dedicated internal maintenance team working on a hard FM contract which carries out service and maintenance work to a large office building and a warehouse storage facility in Newport. It is a straightforward contract overseeing mechanical, basic electrical and fabric maintenance and small works.
- Proven maintenance background
- Good communicator
- Strong, demonstrable competencies in building services trades.
- An excellent understanding of Health and Safety
- Qualified in relevant trades (i.e., Carpentry, plastering, decorating or equivalent)
- Competent in the use of PDA/Tabley

**You would be responsible for**:

- Ensuring all delegated Reactive Works orders and PPMs are completed within the contract defined time SLA’s & KPI’s
- Contributing to the delivery of a quality service, aiming for 100% satisfaction of the Customer
- Communicating daily with helpdesk, Supervisor or Manager regarding status of PPM and Reactive tasks or any other tasks
- Able to work form steps, scaffolding and other heights
- Ensuring the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to
- Assisting during inclement weather to load the gritter and assist with the gritting where possible in and around the roadways and footpaths.
