Newport, United Kingdom National Trust Full time

We are looking for a Holidays Maintenance Assistant.

The role is being on hand to all our 17 holiday cottages located on the Isle Of Wight.

Our holiday cottages provide fantastic venues for our guests to enjoy their holiday and we need a Holidays Maintenance Assistant to take care of our venues to high standards and provide excellent customer service. This role could not be more important in ensuring our guests are provided with the perfect stay from the moment they arrive. Key responsibilities will be reactive assistance on changeovers to maintain and deal with repairs to the holiday accommodation to make sure they are looking their best for all our guests as well as planning those regular maintenance tasks that ensure the cottages meet National Trust Standards.

These tasks would include, but not limited to hanging pictures, minor plumbing repairs, unblocking drains / gutters, as well as assisting in moving Fire wood and taking supplies out to the cottages. A level of experience and knowledge of basic maintenance is required.

Most changeovers happen on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, so mainly working these days but flexibility will be essential. We don’t have any changeovers on a Sunday and there is no evening work involved. Due to the location of the cottages, having your own vehicle is essential.
