The Student Services Officers will support students in a variety of different ways, to support them throughout the learner journey. The Student Services Officer role will be the College focal point for student financial support, delivering outstanding customer service and advice relating to Bursary funding; travel and transport; and general information
**Role responsibilities**
- To support prospective and current students by providing comprehensive information and advice on financial support, bursaries including hardship funds; accommodation; travel and transport; and

general information.
- To allocate appropriate financial awards using Pay My Student, ensuring that the correct funding stream is used and that allocations are eligible as per specific guidance.
- Read and understand the funding guidance for all financial support funds available to students, including Care to Learn and transport for London discounted Oyster cards.
- Understand financial support options available to students and be able to provide advice to students and staff on entitlements.

**The person & qualifications**
- A level equivalent education
- Good standard of literacy and numeracy. Grades A‐C in English Language and Maths or equivalent
- IAG Level 2minimum or be willing to work towards one
- Ability to prioritize work and multi‐task
- A working understanding of student finance support in post 16 education
- A working knowledge of record keeping and general administration
- Experience in maintaining databases
