We're looking for a compassionate, motivated and proactive Student Welfare Officers (SWO) to join our dynamic and supportive team. As an SWO, you will work closely with a caseload of up to 15 students, delivering weekly 1:1 personal development sessions tailored to their individual needs. These highly bespoke sessions combine wellbeing support, PSHE, and future guidance to ensure every student at TCW is not only safe, but equipped to thrive.

The Role
You'll be the key point of contact for your students' welfare – offering practical, emotional and educational support. This includes working with families, liaising with professionals, and advocating for your students during education reviews and meetings. You'll also contribute to wider school initiatives, provide targeted interventions, and step in for onsite pastoral support when needed. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in education, youth work, social care or mental health who is passionate about making a tangible difference in young people's lives.
Who We're Looking ForWe're seeking someone who is:
- Experienced in working with children and young people, especially those with SEND or behavioural needs
- Skilled in mentoring, coaching or delivering wellbeing programmes
- A confident communicator who can work closely with families, social workers, therapists and teachers
- Organised, flexible and emotionally resilient
- Passionate about equity, inclusion and supporting each student's personal growth
- Able to manage a dynamic caseload while working independently across various London locations
Training:
- Induction Day: One full day (9:00 am – 3:45 pm).
- Induction Training Sessions: Five Tuesday afternoons (4:30 – 6:00 pm).
- Ongoing Professional Development: Weekly sessions on Thursday afternoons (4:30 – 6:00 pm).
