Attendance is at the very heart of this.
We are seeking a dedicated person to join us as an Education Welfare Officer on a one-year fixed term basis, in the first instance. You will be joining a well-resourced Academy that has a relentless focus on raising achievement and driving attendance.
The key responsibilities for this role:
1. To support with the tracking, reporting and monitoring of attendance
2. To work with students, parents and carers to secure regular attendance at the Academies and ensure they are aware of their legal responsibilities.
3. To undertake day to day case work so as to improve levels of attendance.
4. To promote and safeguard the welfare of children you come into contact with.

Oasis Academy Wintringham opened in September 2007, replacing Wintringham School. The Academy transferred to brand new state of the art buildings in 2009 which were built on the existing site.
Oasis Academy Wintringham serves an intake which is taken from some of the most deprived wards in North East Lincolnshire with 53% of the 850 student body entitled to Pupil Premium funding and a significant number of students resident in areas including 1% of the most deprived postcodes in the UK. The intake is predominantly White British with an increasing though small number of ethnic minority students who are mainly eastern European.
