Senior Patient Administrator - 56 Dean Street
Working flexibly, the post holder will work as part of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) to ensure that they provide a patient focused service. They will also assist the Service Delivery Manager with the delivery of a variety of services and digital products in the HIV/GUM team. This includes supporting the PrEP MDT (and any other administrative duties associated with the delivery of this MDT), alongside the accurate recording of HIV telephone line activity and other clinical activity coding; to aid with the timely submission of clinical activity data and the effective delivery of service.
The post will be working in a fast paced environment, which requires a calm but proactive approach with the ability to multi-task whilst being thorough, this will involve administering, liaising and acting in an efficient, effective and high quality manner.
Successful applicants will demonstrate excellent communication skills in order to deliver a high standard of customer service to our patients. You should be able to work as a team as well as autonomously and will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our Reception and Call Centre Teams.
Over 600 patients attend the 56 Dean Street service per day and we receive in excess of 1000 calls per day to our Call Centre. You will need to have experience and knowledge of a busy sexual health service, work well under pressure and be proficient in both Cerner and Lilie clinical systems.
- Support the Service Delivery Manager in maximising the best use of clinical and non-clinical resources.
- Work with the Admin Team lead to ensure the monthly cross site PrEP MDT is run effectively, well structured, and all MDT actions are tracked and escalated in a timely manner.
- Proactively manage Long-term PrEP follow-up patient pathways and ensure they receive a high standard of care.
- To ensure patients’ diagnoses, investigations, and management and treatment plans are completed and added to the relevant reporting templates and Electronic patient records (EPR).
- To keep comprehensive electronic diary of all MDT meetings, including clinician attendances.
- To manage all calls efficiently and professionally within the identified performance standards.
- Work with the management team to ensure the accurate capturing of the HIV telephone clinic activity.
- Prepare reports for the clinical team responsible for the long term PrEP follow-up patients.
- To establish effective communications networks with clinicians and other members of the multidisciplinary team, and actively participate in development and change to any systems to improve patient journey.
- Manage and prioritise own workload.
- To maintain patient confidentiality at all times, keeping patients’ information private and only allowing access to it by authorised staff.
- Undertake other administration and reception duties at the discretion of the Clinic Manager and Service Delivery Manager.

- Support the clinic by ensuring necessary actions are taken in the event of problems associated with key performance targets and the delivery of high quality services.
- Support with and/or undertake any projects and ad hoc requests as requested by the Clinic Manager and/or Service Delivery Manager.
