We Deliver Cars is a transportation company committed to delivering exceptional service to our clients. We pride ourselves on our professionalism, reliability, and dedication to meeting our clients' needs. As a Driver Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our team of self-employed drivers and sub contracted drivers.
**Hours**:40 hours per week between 8am-8pm, 5 days a week (Monday - Saturday)
**Day-to-Day Expectations**:
As a Driver Coordinator at We Deliver Cars, your day-to-day responsibilities will include checking in drivers, addressing in-flight issues, communicating with drivers via telephone and messages, updating the system with relevant information, liaising with other departments to provide updates, coordinating drivers to meet daily plans, and ensuring drivers are briefed on the following day's schedule.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Allocate drivers based on client requirements, taking into account individual skills and abilities.
- Coordinate breakdowns efficiently to minimise disruptions to service.
- Handle inbound calls and messages from drivers, providing assistance and guidance as needed.
- Update the system with detailed notes and updates regarding driver activities and assignments.
- Promote We Deliver Cars' driver code of conduct to maintain a smart and professional workforce.
- Inform recruitment of any driver leavers and coordinate the onboarding of new drivers.
- Notify the planning team promptly of any problems or delays to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure the Customer Service department is informed of any issues, delays, or failures affecting service delivery.
- Provide out-of-hours emergency cover on a rota basis to address urgent issues.
- Address and resolve complaints from drivers promptly and effectively.
- Ensure all work on the system is completed accurately and promptly, marking up tasks accordingly.
- Provide support to drivers who may require additional workload or assistance.
- Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by management.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential, as training will be provided.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritise tasks effectively.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
