To form part of a team of Receptionists responsible for welcoming outpatients to the hospital either at reception or the help desk. Recording and out coming all attendance information and making follow ups where appropriate in line with the Referral to Treatment: Access and Management Policy and Organisation Objectives.
- Act as Receptionist within the Clinical Admin Team, to receive, reappoint, check and update patient demographic details on the PAS OASIS system. To deal with patient enquires in a professional and friendly manner.
- To make follow up appointments for outpatient clinics and to ensure all appointments are booked within defined clinic protocols. When there is no capacity, to raise immediately to your supervisor.
- To be responsible for ensuring all clinic outcomes are recorded onto PAS OASIS in a timely and efficient manner in accordance to the Trust policy. To put procedure codes onto the PAS OASIS system for contract purposes.
- To act as first point of contact to secretaries and clinical staff regarding changes to outpatient clinics.
- To ensure/confirm that all demographic details recorded on PAS OASIS are current with the patient in clinic and amend when necessary. Identify overseas visitors to the Overseas Officer and Administrator.
- To be prepared to participate in learning and development as required in line with duties of the post. To be prepared to support new staff during their probational period. To be prepared to cover other members of the team according to the operational needs of the department.
- Any other duties detailed by the Reception Supervisor or Cross Site Reception Manager.
