Administration Officer in Social Work (part time - 25 hours a week over 5 mornings)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Broadmoor High Secure Hospital for a part time Administration Officer - social work to join our established Administration Team. Ideally the hours would be 9.00 am - 2.00 pm.
We are looking for a highly motivated administrator who works well under pressure and is able to prioritise work effectively. Due to the nature of the work confidentiality is of great importance.
Your duties will include liaising with other administration officers in social work to ensure that all meetings are covered, organise volunteer training courses and carer’s forums, process and record information on the department database. You will report to an Administration Team Leader and will work closely with other administrators and social workers.
The ability to work using your own initiative as well as being a team player is essential, so too are excellent interpersonal skills. You should be able to manage and prioritise your own workload to meet agreed deadlines and be IT proficient.
Working with 2 other Administration Officers in Social Work to provide an efficient and timely administration support service to the Head of Forensic Social Work, Social Work Management Team, Social Workers, on behalf of WLNHST in line with National and Local Frameworks and Service Level Agreements.
You will have fast and accurate typing skills and experience of taking minutes at meetings and using databases.

This role is based at Broadmoor Hospital which is a specialist service that provides assessment, treatment and care in conditions of high security for men from London and the south of England. It is one of three high-security psychiatric hospitals in England, and is internationally recognised, both for work with patients and for our extensive research activities. We treat men with mental illness and personality disorders who represent a high degree of risk to themselves or to others.
**Key Result Areas & Performance**:
1. Cross-directorate responsibility for Mental Health Tribunals, pre-admissions and new admission paperwork, to include liaison with both internal and external departments/agencies regarding any legal requirements.
1. Enter and retrieve information on the various departmental databases, ensuring accuracy at all times.
1. Maintain induction manuals for new social work staff and provide secondary induction to area and admin processes.
1. Undertake the processing and reporting of quarterly Key Performance Indicators data as required by the Head of Forensic Social Work to include:
- Provision and collection of data sheets, tactfully reminding staff members of omissions or late returns, whilst keeping the management team informed.
- Data input of received information.
- Run database queries to enable manipulation and compilation of results.
1. Undertake the collection and processing of monthly Adults Service Management Team (ASMT) data.
1. Attend Social Work Team meetings, Carer meetings, Volunteer meetings and other ad hoc meetings, taking and distributing minutes.
1. To provide administrative support, including maintaining the database, coordinating and arranging Safeguarding Adult Strategy meetings, Safeguarding Children Governance and Child Visit Panel meetings. To take minutes for these meetings and the Broadmoor Safeguarding Adult panel meetings.
1. Maintain departmental stationery stocks via the hospitals purchasing system liaising with supplies when necessary.
