We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Senior Stores Officer to enhance our already established friendly and supportive stores team who will contribute to the key work of Lancashire County Council's Growth, Environment, Transport & Health Directorate, working within the stores team of Fleet Services providing support to a fleet operation of over 700 vehicles, plant and equipment.
**What we are looking for**:
An experienced stores person to join a busy stores team in the main fleet workshop at Bamber Bridge, Preston.
This role covers ordering of all spare parts for all of Lancashire County Council vehicles, plant and equipment and ancillary parts needed to operate a vehicle workshop plus any other ad hoc duties as requested
Knowledge and Experience - You will have experience of working within a Vehicle Maintenance/ engineering store. Picking/transferring/issuing of parts and tooling to internal and external depots. Receipting of goods and checking of all incoming stock, locating and labelling of stock within the stores and creating orders for stores items. Dealing with account queries from suppliers/depots and LCC internal accounts dept.
