Lancashire Highways Service is responsible for the direct delivery of all highway related schemes across the County made up of 4300 miles of road, 151,000 streetlights and 2955 bridges.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Technical Support Officer, this post will be based at Cuerden Depot within the Preston & South Ribble Maintenance Team.
The post holder will be required to manage highway enquiries from members of the public and elected members providing technical responses as required demonstrating exceptional customer focus skills, carry out highways site inspections to identify works for delivery within the relevant LCC policies and procedures, be familiar with standard office and mapping software, assist with day to day duties in the office, order and quality check works, regularly updating live inventories, assist technicians and engineers with other duties which are deemed appropriate to the post.
