My client is extremely well-established and the UK's largest pharmaceutical distribution businesses, and we are proud to support in their search for an experienced H&S Coordinator to join them within their large distribution operation out of their brand-newDoncaster depot.
You will be playing a key role working with the management team to ensure that Health & Safety (H&S) Policies, Procedures and UK H&S legislation are up to date, relevant and adhered to. Using these policies, procedures, and best industry practices to monitorcompliance within all premises across the UK, to provide competent H&S advice to all colleagues whilst adopting a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Regional Safety Manager (RSM) to develop H&S policies and procedures to ensure they comply with legislation
- Ensure that compliance systems are updated, and data held in an accurate, effective, and secure manner
- Support management with Risk, COSHH and DSE Assessments
- Review Fire risk assessments and controls
- Support RSM, managers and colleagues to complete then implement findings from all the risk assessments and monitor the controls (risk assessments/COSHH/Fire/DSE etc)
- Support the RSM to manage and monitor projects with regards to Health and Safety Champions (H&S SC) at all sites
- Support the RMS producing training programs and information for H&S SC meetings (biweekly)
- Support the RSM and management team with incident reports and investigations
- Support the RSM with data analytics from incidents to identify opportunities where H&S improvements can be implemented
- Prepare presentation materials for meetings to include details of incident/actions/compliance and KPI's
- Manage first aid requirements for all sites
- Work collaboratively with different departments across the business to provide assurance on all aspects of health and safety compliance
- Carry out Audits and inspections (as per policy and procedures) - specific to the role and monitor compliance of audits and inspections for other departments with regards to H&S.
- Promote good practice and drive continuous improvement
Key Skills:

- Experience in a fast-moving warehouse and logistics environment (beneficial)
- Good IT skills
- Experience of presenting/training
- Organised and able to work autonomously
- H&S Training qualification
- Report writing skills
- NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent level 3 qualification (beneficial)
