If U Care Share Foundation (IUCSF) are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Support Coordinator who will be part of a team offering support to individuals and families bereaved by suicide or at risk of suicide

**Location - **Based in Chester le Street but may require travel across the North East region and throughout the UK

**Hours - **35 (Mon-Fri, 9-5) **Salary - **TBC at interview

**Job Expectations**:

- Taking calls into the office telephone line and responding to general enquiries from the public and supported persons
- Escalate Cause for Concern and or Safeguarding protocol if concerned for the safety or the wellbeing of supported persons
- Engage with local support services, including mental health teams, crisis teams, GP surgeries, adult or children social care teams etc. and making referrals where required / appropriate
- All administration and coordination of Support Officer diaries
- All administration and coordination of follow up tasks in relation to supported persons
- Administration and coordination of therapies (Trauma Therapy, Counselling and alternative therapies etc.) and therapists diaries
- Monitor and update Supported person files
- Greet supported persons / visitors to the office
- Attend meetings and training as advised

**Essential Criteria**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised, with admirable attention to detail
- I.T. literate, with a firm understanding of MS Office
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the prevalence of suicide in society.
- Up-to-date DBS check.

**Desirable Criteria**
- Completion of mental health training.
- Experience and knowledge of working within mental health.
- Experience of the effects of suicide.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed-Term Contract until 31st March 2026
