RSR Public Safety are currently recruiting for 2 x Port Environmental Health Officers for a 3 month initial contract.

**Job Summary**:
**Location**: London Gateway Port (Stanford-le-Hope, Essex)

**Contract**: 3-months initially

**Salary**: £31.04 per hour PAYE / £36.03 per hour Umb

**Main duties and responsibilities**
- To be responsible for the implementation of Biosecurity controls of controlled products and be accountable for taking the decision on the outcome of this controls.
- To supervise internal and external stakeholders operating at Border Control posts.
- To enforce legislation aimed at preventing the importation of unfit, unsound, unwholesome and other non-compliant consignments.

**Person Specification**
- Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Environmental Health, approved by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
- Registered with the EHO Registration Board.
- Chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
- Previous experience with a Port Health Environment.
- An understanding of relevant EU and National Public and Environmental Health legislation.
