Surrey Heath, United Kingdom Transform Housing & Support Full time

**Exciting New Housing First Support Service**

Position: Housing First Support Officer

Location: Surrey Heath

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 39 hours Monday to Friday flexible working

**Salary**: £21,500 to £24,250 dependent on experience (pro rata for part time)

**About the role**

This is an exciting opportunity to work within an innovative new model to help the most vulnerable in our community We are looking for the right people to start our new team delivering an innovative approach to support as part of the Housing First service. You will be part of a team of seven people shaping and designing the service alongside our clients to deliver excellent support in this exciting new area.

Housing First is an innovating approach to supporting the most excluded and hard to reach clients. It focuses on supporting clients in their own accommodation to maintain tenancies and achieve individual goals and aspirations. You will be working with a caseload of 5-7 clients predominantly within the Surrey Heath area.

The Housing First team work together to provide a personalised, trauma informed support service to people with complex needs facing multiple exclusion in line with Housing First and Housing Led Principles. They will be required to provide a person centred, strength-based support service to support clients to create long term sustainable tenancies by increasing independence and maximising connectivity with the local community.

Our Housing first team support and empower homeless and vulnerable people to achieve sustainable independence and wellbeing and make positive changes in their lives. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the most vulnerable in our community. Rather than follow normal routes of hostels to supported housing to independent accommodation, this service offers clients who have been rough sleeping their own home and then gives them the intensive support needed to maintain their tenancies and lead functional lives where traditional service delivery has failed to engage and meet their needs.

The new team will be supporting approx. 30 clients in properties across all 7 boroughs. Staff will work on a team basis covering and supporting colleagues and clients.

We are looking for people who, not only have relevant skills and experience, but also have the passion, commitment, enthusiasm and vision to enable Transform to help homeless and vulnerable people transform their lives.

**It is essential that you have a full valid driving licence and use of your own car for business purposes.**

**Enhanced DBS clearance will also be required.
