**Head of Corporate Affairs**

Calling all governance and risk management specialists

Eden Brown Synergy is working with an NHS Organisation based in East London who are seeking to recruit a Head of Corporate Affairs to join their Corporate Affairs team for 3 months initially.

**Overview of the role**

The Head of Corporate Affairs will lead and manage the performance and direction of the Corporate Affairs Team and will employ their highly developed specialist knowledge of governance and risk management to deliver the highest standards of corporate governance within the Trust.
- Some of your key responsibilities will include: _
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, the Trust's Foundation Licence, relevant legislation, and the Trust Constitution.
- Develop and implement corporate policies and governance systems with the potential to impact on the whole of the organisation and wider system partners.
- Monitor and implement national policies and practices, formulate long term strategic plans, and take a lead in developing and advising on corporate strategy, change management and business planning.
- Be responsible for the operation of the Trust's Charity, Freedom To Speak Up and Trust membership agendas, and be responsible for the implementation of long-term strategies in respect of these for the Trust.
- To Support the Director of Corporate Affairs in their role as Responsible Officer for the Trust Headquarters.
- Deputise for the Director of Corporate Affairs where required.

**Experience & Skills required**:

- NHS experience
- Experience operating at board level
- Educated to Master's Degree level or other post-graduate qualification, or equivalent by virtue of experience
- Highly developed knowledge and understanding of corporate governance and legislative requirements
