We're looking for a ‘Strategic Partnerships Associate, Academia and Government’ to join a partnerships team who are responsible for externally communicating Fable’s work and values. This is a unique opportunity to be one of the core members of the team at Fable. Our team works hard to develop narratives with a sharp perspective and is constantly developing new ways to introduce Fable and re-introduce its government, academia and research partners in creative and effective ways.

To be successful in this role, you will understand the external landscape, be quick to catch newsworthy trends, and have knowledge of social media, marketing communications and executive visibility. Passion for, and interest in data-led programs is important. You are someone who can navigate a fast-paced environment and are adept at handling multiple projects using effective time management and prioritization, while executing processes to streamline workflows and reduce friction.

You will be responsible for working with academic, charity, research, and government stakeholders to cultivate and manage visibility of projects that highlight Fable’s role as a mission led innovator in new groundbreaking ways to measure the economy and help guide policy. This role requires a combination of operational thinking, project management, and thoughtful communication.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Project coordinating content production and promotion to social channels, supporting our Partnership team.
- Seeking out thought leadership opportunities, speaking engagements, external facing events, and notable conferences.
- Building relationships with partners from academia, research, charity and governments.
- Working with internal teams to cultivate and manage potential visibility opportunities.
- Writing press releases, maintaining and updating Fable’s artifacts.
- Supporting Partnerships team with meeting preparation and strategy, acting as liaison across departments including marketing and economic research.
- Building strategic campaigns to cultivate brand awareness and achieve business goals.

**What you’ll need**:

- 4+ years communications or public relations experience
- 4+ years project management experience
- Deep understanding of the data landscape
- Commanding knowledge of the media landscape (publications, social media, reporters, areas of focus, placement opportunities, etc.) for each critical area of focus
- Demonstrated experience seeking out thought leadership opportunities, including speaking engagements, external facing events, and notable conferences.
- Ability to recommend and secure non-earned media opportunities via sponsorships, social media, bylined articles and other nontraditional venues.
- Exceptional writing skills.
- Proven track record of effectively interacting with senior management and ability to work strategically and collaboratively across departments.
- Ability to self-motivate, think strategically, and bring order and efficiency to internal initiatives, projects, and operational objectives.
