Accounts Payable Team Leader

**Your role at Orbit.**

We have a fantastic opportunity here at Orbit to join our Transactional Finance team as an Accounts Payable Team Lead where you will need to provide an excellent transaction processing and payment service to customers and support the Transaction Services Manager. This role also gives the opportunity to be involved and lead on exciting future projects.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

- Manage a team of Transaction Assistants
- Maintain a monthly timetable of tasks
- Develop reports to measure process improvement and drive productivity
- Become an expert user of D365 acting as a key person for training ensuring best practice is upheld
- Maintain and establish excellent relationships with internal and external customers
- Lead and represent the team for key strategic projects
- Investigate any mis-posted transactions and resolve any queries
- Provide accurate information for internal and external auditors
- Ensure all invoices and financial transactions received are processed in accordance with agreed formats and timetables
- Ensure that all payments are made in accordance with agreed terms and group standing orders
- Ensure a robust control environment where standing orders are adhered to
- Complete monthly reports for management
- Complete weekly/monthly reconciliations of all AP related control accounts, ensuring that any outstanding items are investigated and cleared.
- Cover for Transactional Manager as required
- Cover for Transaction Team Leader as required

**What will help you make a difference.**

To be successful in this role of Accounts Payable Team Lead you will need to be an experience people manager with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will need to have a solid understanding of Accounts Payable processes and be able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.

It is also essential that you have:

- Good user level knowledge of MS Office programmes particularly Excel and Word
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative
- Good analytical skills
- Project Management skills
