Ipswich, United Kingdom Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Are you a qualified Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner? If so, read on.

The Under 18 Wellbeing Service is part of the national accredited IAPT initiative. The aim of this is to increase mental health access to those living in Suffolk under the age of 18 who are experiencing mild to moderate levels of anxiety and depression. The service works in conjunction with Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust (NSFT) by providing low and high intensity mental health care to the local population. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Children’s Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Suffolk based service.

We are currently delivering the majority of assessment and intervention over virtual platforms and are hoping to return to a hybrid model of face to face and virtual working moving forward.

This is an opportunity for Children’s Wellbeing Practitioners with post qualification experience, who are passionate about delivering intensive early intervention support within the THRIVE model and to develop their career within the service.

Successful applicants will be excellent communicators, self-motivated and committed to delivering a high standard of care. The role predominantly involves assessment and subsequent delivery of low intensity, high volume short term psychological interventions based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).

Much of the work delivered is around anxiety and low mood. A key part of the role will also be to support delivery of webinar and groups and be involved in the triage of new cases coming in to the U18 Wellbeing Service.

When assessing clients in the role with more enduring or severe conditions, this may involve referring them to other relevant services.

We can offer you the full range of NHS benefits and in addition:
