**Service Manager - Social Care** **Location**:Based from our Coatbridge offices, ML5 3RB **Salary**:£30K per annum, DOE **Contract**: Full time, Permanent **Hours**: 37.5hrs pw Monday to Friday plus responding to on-call needs. Aspire is an award-winning social care organisation looking to recruit an enthusiastic and approachable, forward thinking Service Manager with excellent interpersonal skills, who is registered with the SSSC at management level. The post holder will report to, and deputise for, the Regional Manager of the SDS Support Services that currently provides supports across North Lanarkshire, Glasgow and East Renfrewshire, with an office base within Coatbridge. The Service Manager will be committed to overseeing day-to-day operations of the services ensuring the best interests of supported individuals remain the paramount consideration for all Aspire activities, while providing developmental support and effectivesupervision to staff for whom they have line management responsibility. **In addition to this as our Service Manager you will**: - Ensure services are delivered timeously with the appropriate level of continuity and focus on effectively meeting the needs and aspirations of each supported individual. - Ensure service provisions meets organisation, contractual and legal expectations, and Care Inspectorate standards. - Establish effective working relationships with HSCP/Local Authority and other local agencies. - Ensure that, where applicable and appropriate, that families or other relatives/informal carers or other agencies are worked with in a complementary spirit of partnership for the benefit of supported individuals. - Ensure health and safety matters including accident and incident reporting, risk assessments and investigations are undertaken, recorded, reported, and reviewed in line with organisational policy. - Respond to verbal and written complaints utilising Aspire complaints process, ensuring a full audit trail is used to capture complaints and Aspire responses. - Achieve agreed key performance indicators for the role and assist line-managed staff to meet theirs. - Attract, recruit, appoint, and retain high quality staff who reflect the values, commitment, and ethos of Aspire. - Ensure staff training and development needs are addressed and that they have the qualifications, skills, experience, knowledge, and support to effectively deliver quality services and undertake their duties. - Produce reports for both internal and external use, and ensure tasks are carried out with appropriate records and databases maintained. - Effectively deploy, supervise, appraise, develop, and support staff, ensuring that, in turn, those line-managed implement those tasks with all other staff in the services. - Contribute to identifying, developing, and delivering new business opportunities. **Essential experience, knowledge and skills include**: - Previous experience of leading and managing a team within a health or social care setting. - Excellent resource utilisation skills (people and monies) - Excellent communicator with active listening skills. - An approachable and friendly manner, with excellent social skills and an ability to interact with a wide range of individuals and groups. - An understanding of the need to follow Health and Safety guidelines. - Excellent problem-solving skills. - Registered with the SSSC at management level with an appropriate health and social care qualification.
