**Job Summary: Cafe Assistant / Barista**

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant / Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing a variety of coffee drinks and other beverages, and maintaining a clean and inviting cafe environment. You will play a key part in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers, ensuring they have a positive and enjoyable experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to a high standard
- Operate coffee machines and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including counters, tables, and seating areas
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies
- Handle cash and card transactions accurately
- Provide information about menu items and make recommendations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth cafe operations

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience as a Barista or in a customer service role preferred
- Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
- Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights

**Work Schedule**:

- Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.50-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week

- Barista experience: 1 year (preferred)
