We are seeking a skilled and passionate Head Barista to lead our café and deliver exceptional coffee experiences to our customers. As the Head Barista, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our café, ensuring high-quality coffee preparation, and providing outstanding customer service. This is a leadership role that requires excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a deep understanding of coffee culture and trends.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and supervise a team of baristas, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain a high level of service excellence.
- Ensure consistent adherence to coffee brewing techniques, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and latte art, to deliver beverages of the highest quality.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop and update the menu, introducing new beverages and staying informed about current industry trends.
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and oversee stock rotation to maintain freshness and prevent shortages.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment. Schedule regular maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Interact with customers, address their inquiries and concerns, and create a welcoming and engaging environment.
- Create and manage staff schedules, ensuring adequate coverage during peak hours and considering employee availability.
- Conduct training sessions to enhance baristas’ skills, including coffee brewing techniques, customer service, and product knowledge.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for promoting products, increasing sales, and attracting new customers.
- Continuously evaluate and improve operational workflows, implement cost-effective practices, and optimize productivity

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years experience as a barista, with a strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, espresso machines, and speciality beverages.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and customer-focused attitude.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of inventory management and ordering processes to ensure adequate supplies.
- Familiarity with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure during peak hours.
- Passion for coffee, including staying updated on industry trends and new brewing methods.

Pay: From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 35 per week
