**Job role**: Head Barista **Location**: London, Tottenham Court Rd Station, Oxford Street **Salary**: £32,045 per annum **Shift Pattern**: Monday-Friday, 42.5 hours Houston & Hawkes are looking for a Head Barista to join our team, providing a first class service based at our brand new contract in the heart of London. As the Head Barista, you will perform the role of float where required, taking responsibility for delivering brand standards, educate and support your team on "everything there is to know about coffee", as well as responding to customer enquiries and dealeffectively to questions and feedback. **What You Really Want To Know**: - The salary for this role is £32,045 per annum/ £14.50 per hour - The basic hours for this role are 42.5 per week - The working week is Monday to Friday - Monthly wages paid on the last day of the month - Great Travel Links **Head Barista Duties**: - Greeting customers and delivering excellent customer service - Preparing coffees and other beverages to a high standard of taste and quality - Making recommendations to customers and answering any questions - Manage orders for stock and coffee supplies - Maintain and clean coffee machines. Organise service where needed - Train and set standards for all Baristas - Monitor and maintain hygiene and cleaning standards - Liaise with coffee roasters and management to ensure the smooth running of operations and delivery of quality products - Handle customer complaints with professionalism and tact **Head Barista Requirements**: - You'll have a proven background in high volume cafes or coffee shops and thrive in a fast-paced environment - Experience supervising a team with flexible approach to the role - Able to guides team members with programming machines, coffee grinders and adjusting shots to ensure the perfect extraction time - Continues to learn and educate themselves on whole bean knowledge, coffee blends, teas, bakery items, coffee brewing and blended products - Passionate, friendly, diligent and a great team player - Ability to display passion for everything about coffee - Excellent communication and customer service skills - Good organisational skills **Head Barista Additional Benefits**: - Free meals at work - Contributary pension scheme - Free access to the company Employee Assistant Programme - Life assurance at two times salary - Company events including all company Christmas party - Recognition schemes and people awards - Family friendly support - The holiday allowance is 28 days including bank holidays - Bicycle Parking Onsite Houston & Hawkes - a young and dynamic independent caterer based in the South East.
