Are you interested in using your administrative skills to support a large dynamic and friendly Children’s Speech and Language Therapy service? Our Administrative Coordinator role is at the heart of our high quality and responsive service to Bexley families.

We are looking to appoint an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic Administrative Coordinator to provide organisational, administrative and secretarial support to our growing team. The Bexley Children’s Speech and Language Therapy Service is dedicated to providing specialist care and support for children aged 0-19 years with communication and/or eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties.

Bexley Children’s Speech and Language Therapy service assess and provide advice/intervention for children and young people with specific speech, language and communication problems to enable them to communicate to the best of their ability. As an allied health professional service, we work closely with parents, carers and other professionals, including teachers and nurses.

Staff wellbeing is important to us - we won the ‘Children and Young People's Directorate Team of the Year award’ 2021-22 in recognition of the excellent care and support we provide to Bexley families and staff.

**You will**:

- provide a professional, confidential and efficient secretarial / administrative service to the Service Manager.
- work with mínimal supervision and use own initiative to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines.
- provide senior leadership team with administrative support as required.
- provide efficient and professional administrative support in relation to external contracts and other commissioned services of the Speech and Language Therapy service.
- demonstrate and maintain excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure effective working relationships at all levels, internal and external to the Trust, including NHS and non NHS organisations.
- work as directed to support the efficiency, quality compliance and day to day organisation of the Speech and Language Therapy service.

Oxleas offers a wide range of NHS healthcare services to people in community and secure environment settings. Our services include community health care such as district nursing and speech and language therapy, care for people with learning disabilities and mental health care such as psychiatry, nursing and therapies. - To provide comprehensive, efficient and pro-active administrative and secretarial support to the Service Manager.
- To be part of the healthroster team - updating and maintaining records on a daily basis including sickness/ROT/overtime for the service.
- To support the Service Manager in HR administrative functions.
- To ensure a high level of confidentiality and discretion are always practised.
- To undertake typing tasks e.g. letters, reports, business plans, minutes for meeting, presentations and ensure all are completed promptly and efficiently.
- To organise and ensure that arrangements are made to support regular Full Service and Leadership team meetings. This includes: preparation and distribution of agendas, collation of reports & papers, publicity, venue organisation, minute taking & production of minutes, ensuring that action points are followed up with those responsible. Other meetings may also be supported on request of Service Manager e.g. large sub-team meetings, contract meetings, meetings with parents and professionals as required.
- To provide efficient and professional administrative support in relation to external contracts and other commissioned services of the Speech and Language Therapy service.
- To process invoices and requisitions for equipment and service.
- To be responsible for ordering supplies/equipment for therapy services.
