**Job description**:
This role sits within the Operations directorate, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that covers HR, Finance, Communications, Programme Management Office, and Investments. We are at the heart of everything ATE does and ensuring that the Agency is successful in delivering its objectives.

We expect that you’ll already be working in a PMO function, at programme or portfolio level. You’ll be adept at using different portfolio / programme / project management methods and be able to operate in both traditional and agile environments.

Your responsibilities will include, but aren’t limited to:

- Liaising with teams to identify and baseline key milestones, enabling teams to demonstrate how project outcomes contribute to the delivery of the agency’s strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with project managers across ATE to provide feedback on project documentation and plans, effectively supporting and bolstering the project management function across ATE’s directorates.
- Working closely with project teams to set realistic but challenging performance measures and milestones to track progress against.
- Responding to Change Requests in line with internal SLAs.
- Provide secretariat support to key delivery governance forums.
- Work closely and manage the relationship with the DFT sponsorship function ensuring proportionate and effective reporting into ATE.
- Coordinate commissions for data across directorates.
- Identify pressure points and ensure effective resolution through strong relationships.
- Drive accountability for delivery of ATE’s programme of work, challenge timelines, assumptions and prioritisation of work.

Required experience:
To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:

- You will have experience of working in a programme management office; overseeing a portfolio of projects to ensure they meet organisational goals and keep on track for timely delivery.

Full time roles consist of 37 hours per week.

The expectation at present is a minimum of **60%** of your working time a month will be spent at either your designated workplace (one of the locations cited in the advert) or, when required for business reasons, in another office/work location. There may be occasions where you are required to attend above the minimum expectation.
