**Project Officer**:
**The Role**:
We have a great opportunity for an exceptional individual to join us as a Project Officer and be part of a world leading organisation supporting STEM education across the UK.

You will be educated to degree level and with substantial relevant project and contract management experience gained within a relevant environment.

Projects may be employer, partner or stakeholder facing and you should be able to demonstrate examples of effective relationship management external to an organisation.

You will contribute to cross-cutting activities ensuring best practice contract and project management within STEM Learning. An appreciation and understanding of STEM education and / or working with the voluntary sector is therefore desirable.

**Experience and Expertise**:

- A successful and demonstrable track record in managing contracts and projects in a relevant environment to include end-end scoping, content development and evaluation.
- Experience of working with key project management tools and methodologies, specifically project plans, risk registers, change control records and expenditure/budget records
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including writing and delivering presentations, experience of writing concise, complex reports and other documents for internal and external use
- A proven ability to interact effectively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrable resilience traits, highlighting your ability to face and adapt to challenges to overcome them
- An ability to work at pace to achieve tight deadlines and on own initiative
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- An appreciation and understanding of STEM education and a commitment to the vision and mission of STEM Learning.

**Please Note**: the role holder will be required to undertake some UK travel and occasional overnight stays. Flexibility of working hours will be required to meet the demands of the role at key times.

This role will play a crucial part in ensuring that the Centre and Network are able to continue to provide world-leading support to STEM educators and exceed the expectations of funders and other stakeholders. These roles are instrumental in ensuring that all colleagues - internal and external - are aware of and benefit from high quality programme and project management tools which provide efficiencies and quality assured support.

You will be a part of a wider team of Project Officers, Project Coordinators, Programme Leads and Managers - the engine room of our operations.
